4. AI processing and user content

Some Waahey products use artificial intelligence to process content and produce requested outputs. For example, uploaded documents may be analyzed to generate quizzes, summaries, questions, visualizations, or agent responses. You retain ownership of content you provide. We process that content to deliver, secure, and improve the services you request. We do not use private uploads to train public models for unrelated third-party products without your consent. Do not upload sensitive personal information or content that you are not authorized to share.

5. Children's privacy

Certain Waahey experiences are designed for families, children, educators, and schools. A parent, guardian, school, or other authorized adult should create and manage a child's access where required. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide age-appropriate features. Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of child profile information. We do not knowingly allow a child to create an independent account where verifiable adult consent is legally required. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate consent, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

6. Legal bases for processing

Where laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: • Contract, when processing is needed to provide the services you request • Consent, including for optional communications or where guardian consent is required • Legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, analytics, and service improvement, balanced against your rights • Legal obligation, when processing is required by applicable law You may withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, maintain security, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the product involved. Account data is generally kept while an account is active. Deleted content may remain in backups for a limited period before being removed through our normal backup cycle. Security, billing, and audit records may be retained where required for legitimate business or legal purposes.

Where required by law, we will request consent before using optional analytics or marketing technologies. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of Waahey from working.
